Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Graceful Rose Therapy Services supports both men and women navigating trauma, grief, life transitions, postpartum challenges, depression, anxiety, and relationship concerns.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
Yes. We currently only offer secure telehealth sessions across Texas.

How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions may be available upon request.

Do you take insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on financial need. Please ask about availability during your consultation.

What happens in the first session?
The first session is an intake session. We’ll review your history, discuss your goals, and create a personalized plan for your therapy journey.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.

Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is protected by law. The only exceptions are situations involving risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult, or if records are subpoenaed by a court.

Do you work with children or teens?
Currently, services are focused on anyone who is 13+. Referrals for child/adolescent therapy can be provided upon request.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on your goals and unique needs. Some clients find relief in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term therapy.

Do you provide Christian or faith-based counseling?
Faith and spirituality can be integrated into sessions if desired. Clients are welcome to bring their values and beliefs into the counseling process.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s why we offer a free 15-minute consultation. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, share your goals, and decide if we’re the right fit before beginning therapy.

What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps reprocess traumatic or distressing memories so they no longer feel as emotionally overwhelming.

How is EMDR different from talk therapy?
While talk therapy often focuses on processing experiences through conversation, EMDR directly engages the brain’s natural healing processes to resolve “stuck” memories. It often brings faster relief for trauma symptoms.

Is EMDR safe?
Yes. EMDR is a well-researched, effective treatment for trauma. Sessions are paced carefully to ensure you feel supported and grounded throughout the process.

How many EMDR sessions will I need?
It varies by person. Some clients notice changes within a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term EMDR treatment. This will be discussed during your treatment planning.
